Vinces Chinese-Malaysian-Thai Restaurant

by Tom Pike last modified 2006-08-18 00:51

Overview

Rating: 4 1/2 Chopsticks
Location: Main Street Cowra
Visiting Time: Dinner

This restaurant has the distinct honour of restoring our belief in rural Chinese cookery after the scarring experience of the Yu Sing restaurant.

Food

Initially we were quite taken back by the triple header of Chinese, Thai and Malaysian but the food was superb.  Spring rolls had what spring rolls should have in them, nothing was soggy, food was fresh.

Service

Excellent, the wait staff took an interest in us (a first).  On a slightly more amusing note, the owner of the restaurant has the same dimensions as Edna from the Incredibles, and appears just as busy.

Atmosphere

A nice intimitish restaurant, with a good number of people eating out on a sunday night.  The restaurant was capped off nicely with a very Asian backlit picture of a waterfall.

What are Tom, Christy & Peter Doing?

We are volunteering full time for an organisation with the aim to help the poor and disadvantaged of this world.

Site of the Month

It has been more than a month since site of the month was updated, but this month we bring you Cake Wrecks. As Christy is quite the baker we've enjoyed seeing how cakes can, and do, go horribly, horribly wrong.
